Bankoung K’aek –the crows branch- (film)
‘Bangkoung K’aek (the crows branch)’ follows the blind Chapaispeler Kong Nai. We follow him on his trail through the past as survivor of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodja ’75-’78. Kong Nai’s poetry brings back the dead as birds in a bewildering tale.
Documetary fragments and shadowplay are the ingrediënts in a composition of blues, archive material and animation. The film is expected in 2011.
