Act of Association

Excerpts from: the Articles of Association d.d. April 10, 2003

Preamble:
The Foundations name is derived from Rutger Koplands following poem:
Everything I can endure,
the withering of beans,
dying flowers, the patch
of potatoes I can see lifted
with dry eyes, indeed,
then I am tough.
But young lettuce in September,
just planted, tender still,
in their moist little beds, no.

The AIM of the Foundation is hard to translate:
a. ‘Het bevrijen, op een wijze die schoonheidsontroering kan veroorzaken;’ The old Dutch word ‘bevrijen’ is a combination of the verb ‘to dismantle/cross borders’ and suggests ‘lovingly’, in a way that could evoke a sense of beauty ;
b. to do all that is connected therewith or may be conducive thereto, all this to be interpreted in the widest sense.

The Board Foundation is comprised as follows:
1 Mr. R.A. Kaarls, President
2 Drs. J.H.L. Verheij, Treasurer
3 R.K.H. So, M.A., Secretary
4 Drs. E.L. Lubbers, Vice-President
